  • "I highly recommend Buffalo Creek Outfitters to anyone considering a western upland hunt, and I personally look forward to hunting with them for years to come."

I have hunted with Mitch on numerous days and have had an outstanding experience on each occasion. Mitch does a great job of scouting a lot of habitat so that there is the opportunity to chase a variety of species and have a unique experience each time. Mitch is a very enjoyable person to hunt with and his dogs were pleasant to hunt over and they did an excellent job. I have not had the opportunity to hunt with Danielle, but I appreciate the effort she took to package the birds I shot for travelling back home.

  • "The Schoenwolfs are the most dedicated upland bird hunters I've ever met. I can't wait to hunt birds with them again!"

Buffalo Creek Outfitters are folks I'll be coming back to again and again. I've gone upland hunting with them twice now and both experiences have been unforgettable. I am completely new to upland hunting, and on both hunts, Danielle went out of her way to kindly explain bird habitat and behavior, gun safety, and upland bird hunting regulations and ethics. Thanks to Buffalo Creek's expertise, I've harvested my first sage grouse, Hungarian partridge, and chukar all in the incredible state of Wyoming.

  • "Wyoming is a trip I’ll never forget. Crazy bird numbers, good dog work, and got to knock a few new species off the list!"

In 3 days, we got to chase Chukar, Huns, and Dusky Grouse, two of which I had never killed before; from the mountains and snow to the sage brush prairies. Can’t thank my new friends Mitch and Danielle enough for having me out and showing me around their stomping grounds. Got some cool pictures and made some awesome memories.

If anyone is in the market for a wild bird experience in one of the wildest places left in the country, give them a call!

  • "The knowledge and love of upland hunting is evident in everything you will learn and experience. "

If you’re on the fence, get off and book a trip! After speaking to Danielle on the phone I had high hopes of seeing quality birds. The experience was better than I could have hoped for and I cannot express how amazing our trip was. Mitch and Danielle are amazing people with amazing knowledge of Wyoming upland hunting. They are super easy to get along with and are willing to teach and instruct you on all things to do with upland hunting. Their dogs are 1st class!

  • “Best guided experience we've ever had.”

Mitch and Danielle are knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and really just totally easy to spend time with. We had multiple shooting opportunities, and the pace of the trip was perfect. Especially important was the care that both Danielle and Mitch took to understand where we were coming in, and what we were hoping for. Oh, and their dogs absolutely rock!

  • “Very simply, all expectations were exceeded.”

Wonderful people (Mitch & Danielle), amazing dogs, breathtakingly beautiful country, amazing knowledge of the flora and fauna, great snacks and food provided, great communication, and smooth booking. They’ll work as hard as you want them to in an effort to make your trip meet ALL expectations. They’ll put you in a position to take the birds of your dreams and share in some stories along the way. This being my first guided hunting experience, I really loved the photos, because it's hard to take great hunting photos if you are carrying a gun. Getting to shoot a pair of birds with my best friend over a point was something that I will never forget, core memory locked. Harvesting a mature bomber was special! Getting out smarted by Huns, left me with a grudge that I plan to settle! I’ve only been home a few weeks and I’m already on the wait list for next year. 10 ⭐️

  • “Want an outstanding upland experience with the fantastic scenery of Wyoming as your backdrop? BCO is simply a fantastic professional operation with a personal touch.”

Mitch and Danielle are consummate professionals who obviously work hard in the off-season to scout birds, train top-level dogs, and then share the passion of wild bird hunting with their clients. I appreciated the beautiful scenery, the isolation, the total lack of other hunters (or humans for that matter) and having a DIY hunt feel but with good support.
